Methylated nucleosides database (MNSDB) is a database for methylated nucleosides and is globally opened by ‘Crosstalk between transcriptional control and energy pathways, mediated by hub metabolites’ supported by Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, a MEXT Grant-in-Aid Project FY2011-2015, JAPAN.

In the expression process of genomic information, methylations of RNAs (mRNA, tRNA, rRNA, microRNA and so on) are assumed to regulate a number of biological functions including gene expression and translation.
We analyzed base- or ribose- methylated nucleosides by using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), and constructed database for providing analyzing conditions and LC-MS/MS data to researchers.

In this database,
1) description of methylated nucleosides (IUPAC name, chemical formula, chemical structure, molecular weight and CAS No.)
2) analysis conditions of LC-MS/MS, and chromatographic and spectrum data
are deposited.

Although we are doing our best to compile high quality databases, there are no such databases without any errors or mistakes. We make no warranties to those effects and shall not be liable for any damage that may result from errors in the database. You can check the page Known Errors of Mistakes in MNSDB.
